BP oil spill in the gulf

i think that the accident that occured with BP is intirely there fault and i think that they should be held fully responsible for the following actions that have taken place. there should be legal and other issues brought up on hom BP is going to fully restore the accidents potential danger. BP has tried many attempts and other ideas to stop the leak but being that none are successful they are still wondering on how to cap the leak with out harming it even worse.

Issue #3 putting welfare to work

article summary-
everyone has there own opinion about welfare, weather or not people should be able to even get welfare just becaus most people believe that if they should have to work that everyone
else should have to. facts show that poverty has increased every year and continues to increase slowly, some years it increases more depending on how the economy does. there are currently more moms out there that cant afford to take care of their kids and there housing. recent poles have shown that child support has also increased. up to 43% of those living in poverty took income of up to or more than $18,000 dollars. child poverty in todays society has gone down compared to the way it was before the new laws were passed. there is much concern that most of the reason for our economy and people in poverty is outsourcing sending useful jobs else ware leaving people looking for work when none is found. as technology continues to advance hopefully more jobs will be sprung forth letting people go back to work.

In my opinion-
i dont agree with welfare i believe that everyone should have to work in our society unless there physically impaired and physically cant work not just because they cant get a job and take care of there responsibilties and there actions that have put them in the position that they are currently in. The welfare system was created to help americans that cant work survive in the new economy until people got lazy and took advantage of the system and now it is currently hurting more americans than it is helping.

social insecurity

The social security system is an idea that the government came up with that were after a person has reached a certain age they can retire from working and collect a check each month for average living expenses based on how much they have pain in taxes over the years. social security is a good idea for the elderly because of all there years of working they can collect and take it easy after there many years of employment. the governments idea for trying to fix social security is raising the retirement age so there for not as many people would collect income from social security which would result in the government saving money for the time being until they can figure out a plan to further fix it. making the retirement age older would mean that people would have to work even longer and in the long run pay more in taxes.

I would have to say that I agree with my topic on terms that social security is running out and that it needs to be fixed so that the younger generation can have the same things that were offered to the older generation. in my opinion social security should have been fixed along time ago when they knew it was a problem and still chose to do nothing about it to change it, even tho there was ideas they were never followed threw because the government kept putting it off. the american prospect has the same opinion as i do when it comes to social insecurity in how we need to find a solution.

doctors in haiti

in the news artical, i thought it was very interesting that according to the doctors from where they came from they were treated like stars, people looked up to them and had no choice but to respect them for there profession. but when the doctors arrived in haiti and they have innocent people dieng in there hands because of the lack of electronics or surgeon tools they soon realise they were just another person. no one had to respect them or give them a pad on the back, to the people of haiti they were just another person to look after that could try there best to help. pretty amazing how somone who goes from being that well respected in a place like L.A. could jsut have the tabels turned and be treated normal. for some of the doctors it was an uneasy feeling that they would never forget.
